Timothy Keyes
I’m an MD/PhD candidate in Stanford’s Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) and a senior data scientist at Stanford Health Care, working at the intersection of clinical medicine and AI systems. I design, deploy, evaluate, and study AI-enabled clinical workflows, with particular interests in agentic systems, clinical AI infrastructure, and the engineering and governance needed to use these systems safely at scale. I have helped design, deploy, and monitor nine production AI systems currently in use at Stanford Health Care. My current work builds on earlier research in applied machine learning, single-cell biology, and open-source bioinformatics.
Currently: completing clinical clerkships, developing agentic clinical AI systems and infrastructure, and studying how AI-enabled workflows should be engineered, evaluated, deployed, monitored, and integrated into clinical practice.
